FOR STATIONS, COLLECTIVES & MULTI-DJ TEAMS
Different DJs. Different rigs. One professional standard.
RigWave is being built for the reality that a station can have one identity while the people behind it use very different equipment, PCs and workflows.
BUILT FOR MORE THAN ONE PERSON BEHIND THE CONTROLS
More station and group tools are already in the pipeline.
Station Profiles & Standards, guest and resident handover, rota/team utilities and the researched DJ Booking Hub are active product directions. They are not being sold as finished features: each still has to be specified, built, provider-checked, legally reviewed and proven before it earns a release label.
Consistency without cloning everybody
The aim is not to turn every DJ into the same operator. It is to help different supported setups work towards a dependable technical result while the personality, music and presentation stay theirs.
Different rigs
Resident one may use Denon, resident two may use Pioneer, a guest may arrive with a controller and a laptop. RigWave's bespoke approach starts from the actual setup rather than assuming the station owns twelve identical copies of everything.
Different experience levels
A volunteer doing their first show and a seasoned broadcaster do not need the same amount of explanation. RigWave is designed to keep the first route plain, with deeper evidence available when somebody wants it.
One clearer technical target
Stations care about repeatability: sensible routing, controlled output, stream health and fewer surprises at handover. The technical standard can be consistent without making the creative result generic.
One community, several platforms
Live Chat Hub and consent-first Live Sharing are aimed at reducing the audience fragmentation that becomes even harder to manage when several presenters or platforms are involved. Provider permissions and rules still apply.
What already fits the station problem
These are current V1 targets or clearly labelled future directions, not a claim that every idea is already built or publicly available.
Keep useful setup details between shows.
Rig Profiles. Keep devices, settings and audio routes in a local profile for the setup being used.
OPEN →Give every show a more consistent outgoing level.
Genre Master Out. Help presenters aim for a controlled outgoing level, enough headroom and clipping protection.
OPEN →Find which part of the chain is actually causing trouble.
Diagnostics & Support. Make it easier to identify whether the trouble is the rig, route, PC or another supported part of the chain.
OPEN →Keep presenters with the audience instead of juggling tabs.
Live Chat Hub. Bring supported platform chat into a clearer view so presenters can spend more time with the audience than with tabs.
OPEN →Alert opted-in listeners when the station or show goes live.
Live Sharing. Help alert people who actively chose to hear from you when the station or show goes live, subject to supported service rules.
OPEN →Answer “where is the audio going?” faster.
Routing Guidance. Reduce the classic handover question: “Where is the audio actually going?”
OPEN →The station & group pipeline is bigger
RigWave is not stopping at tools designed mainly around the individual operator. More functions are being designed and researched specifically for stations, collectives, rotating residents and multi-DJ channels.
Give different rigs one agreed technical target.
Station Profiles & Standards. A future direction for storing an agreed station technical target and using it as a reference across different supported resident and guest rigs, without forcing identical hardware.
Help the next DJ start with useful context, not a blank page.
Guest & Resident Handover. Planned workflow ideas around readiness checks, useful rig notes and clearer handover information so the next DJ is not starting with a blank page.
Make rotating presenters and roles easier to organise.
Rota & Team Utilities. Future group workflow ideas aimed at rotating presenters, roles and station operations. Scope is still being designed and will only become a customer feature after proper specification, build and proof.
Explore a clearer approval-led way to manage DJ slots.
DJ Booking Hub. A researched future concept for stations, collectives, event groups and multi-DJ channels, including slot availability and approval-led booking. It is research, not a current V1 feature or promise.
Keep each presenter’s style. Aim for consistent technical quality.
That is the station idea in one line: different people and different rigs should not automatically mean a completely different technical experience every time somebody takes over.
