Terms & EULA
Plain-English draft for private testing. Invited private beta is separate from the later public 7-day trial and paid checkout. Final paid-customer Terms/EULA and Privacy Notice remain subject to professional review.
TEST LEGAL DRAFT • NOT A LIVE CHECKOUT CONTRACT
Draft status
This page and the desktop Legal Centre are being kept in step during private testing. Internal file IDs and checks are not customer contract terms.
Public trial or payment stays closed until required seller/contact information, consumer and subscription duties, privacy and retention details, third-party notices, security reporting and professional review are complete. If the legal wording changes materially, customers will be shown the new wording and asked to accept it where required.
Seller identity
RigWave Streaming Systems is the trading name of Gary Woodward, a sole trader. Trading, business correspondence and service address: 6 Adlington Drive, Northwich, Cheshire, CW9 8BP, United Kingdom. General, legal and privacy enquiries use info@rigwavesystems.co.uk. The owner has expressly authorised publication of this address for RigWave customer, pre-contract, invoice and legal-compliance purposes. Professional review of the final customer contract remains pending.
RigWave Streaming Systems is not currently VAT registered and does not currently charge VAT separately. The price shown before payment is the total price payable. Tax treatment will be reviewed if the business's registration position changes.
Private beta programme
Invited private-beta access is a no-card, no-payment pre-release testing programme. It is not the public 7-day trial and does not activate any paid plan. Testers should use only the exact candidate linked by the private-beta release manifest, keep Windows protection enabled, back up important settings and report defects rather than bypassing security or identity checks.
The Private Beta Notice explains tester expectations. Any in-app terms/privacy acceptance required by the exact build remains authoritative for that build. Final paid-customer commercial, cancellation and subscription terms remain separately gated.
1. Who may use RigWave
V1.0 is planned for UK customers aged 18 or over. The customer must provide accurate registration and licence information and keep licence/device access details secure.
2. Trial and licence
The intended trial lasts 7 days, is limited to one licensed PC and one trial under the RigWave registration/licence identity for that PC, needs no payment card and does not convert automatically into a paid plan. RigWave does not currently use a conventional customer website login account for this flow. Paid access is intended to be licensed to one PC, with supported device reset routes for legitimate hardware or Windows changes.
3. Paid plans
Four launch choices are currently prepared for launch, but public checkout is not live. Standard Yearly is £99 for 12 months and does not auto-renew. Standard Monthly is £11.99/month and is intended to auto-renew until cancelled. Founder Yearly is £79 for the first 12 months and does not auto-renew; if the customer later chooses another annual period, standard annual pricing is intended to apply subject to the final approved terms. Founder Monthly is £8.99/month for the first 12 paid months, then £11.99/month, and is intended to auto-renew until cancelled. The first 100 successful paid Founder customers share one allocation across both Founder choices. RigWave Streaming Systems is not currently VAT registered, so VAT is not currently added separately; the checkout must show the total price payable.
4. Digital supply, cancellation and refunds
Checkout will ask for any consent required to begin digital software supply immediately and will explain the effect on cancellation rights. Nothing in these terms removes rights that UK consumer law says cannot be excluded. See Refunds & cancellation.
5. What the customer is responsible for
- Using RigWave lawfully.
- Following third-party platform, account and content rules.
- Holding the licences and permissions needed for music, images, messages and other content.
- Checking the setup and result before going live.
- Keeping sensible backups of important customer content.
- Not using RigWave to bypass legal, platform, security or licensing restrictions.
6. Changes and restore
Supported changes should be shown for approval before application. RigWave is designed to create a local settings backup before supported changes and provide a restore route. If a restore fails or only partly succeeds, further changes should stop and the customer should receive safe next steps.
7. Updates and supported versions
RigWave may check for updates automatically. Normal installation remains user-approved. Critical security updates may be required for protected online functions. The intended support policy is the current public version plus one previous version.
8. Third-party services
You must use third-party software, accounts, APIs and platforms only with the licences, permissions and rights they require. RigWave must not be used to bypass provider authentication/access controls, DRM/licence checks, rate limits, anti-abuse systems, consent/opt-out rules, moderation safeguards or other provider restrictions. Open-source rights granted by applicable licences are not removed by the RigWave EULA.
See the official third-party terms and licence directory.
Third-party apps, platforms, drivers and services can change, restrict or remove integrations. RigWave does not promise permanent compatibility with every future third-party version and does not claim endorsement by those providers.
9. Intellectual property
RigWave source code, brand, artwork, proprietary formulas, tuning logic, protected engines, scoring, recommendations and workflows remain RigWave Streaming Systems / Gary Woodward IP. Reverse testing, decompilation, licence circumvention or protected-method extraction is prohibited except where the law or an applicable open-source licence gives a right that cannot be excluded.
10. Customer content
The customer keeps ownership of customer content, recordings, settings, logs and supplied or created data. RigWave receives only the limited rights genuinely needed to provide the requested service, support or legal compliance.
11. Support and known issues
Product, licence and technical support uses support@rigwavesystems.co.uk. General, legal and privacy enquiries use info@rigwavesystems.co.uk. Facebook Messenger is also planned for V1.0 support in English. No fixed response time is promised. Material customer-impacting issues are published in Known Issues and public updates receive release notes. The info address has passed a pre-launch inbound-and-reply round-trip test and returned-message SPF, primary DKIM and DMARC checks. The support mailbox has passed a basic inbound-and-human-reply round trip. Automatic licence-mail delivery and final per-message authentication-header evidence remain separate checks before public launch.
12. Legal rights
Nothing in this draft is intended to exclude liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. Final wording, governing-law terms and any limitation-of-liability clauses require professional review before public release.
13. Acceptance
Before a trial or paid checkout opens, customers must be shown the current Terms/EULA and Privacy Notice and given a clear chance to read and accept them. Where the law or the nature of the change requires fresh acceptance, RigWave must ask again.
A customer should be able to keep or retrieve the terms that applied to their transaction.
LIVE SHARE · MUST READ
Lawful, responsible sharing is a condition of use
Before Live Share or connected-chat controls unlock, RigWave presents separate required tick boxes for: account and destination authority; copyright and other content rights; privacy and recipient permission; no bullying, harassment or harmful misuse; third-party app rules; checking before sending; and end-user responsibility. The accepted wording version and time are stored on that PC so the same checklist is not repeated on every launch. A material change to the requirements triggers a fresh acknowledgement.
The acknowledgement is not another person’s consent, does not grant access to an account or destination, and does not prove delivery. The operator must already have any permission, consent or lawful basis required for each recipient, purpose and channel; must check the actual message, link, account, audience and recipient; and must honour STOP, blocking, objections and withdrawal.
Never use RigWave for bullying, harassment, stalking, threats, discrimination, doxxing, impersonation, deception, spam, fraud, unlawful surveillance or exploitation. Misuse can harm people and damage the RigWave brand. Police.uk online harassment and threatening-message help ↗ · Report Harmful Content ↗.
If WhatsApp, Messenger, Facebook or another third-party desktop/web app is used, install or open its official app, sign in and authorise there, approve only the permissions needed, protect credentials, and comply with its current terms, policies, recipient controls, templates, moderation, rate limits and charges.
